It's already Wednesday, and I'm not complaining at all! Tomorrow Shelby Lynne is playing the Granada. I'm as excited about this show as I have been for any show in a long time. I've always liked her and this will be the 1st time I've seen her. She's one of those immensely talented folks that just never seem to breakthrough to superstar status. Go...You WON'T be disappointed. TONS of other stuff goin this weekend. Dallas Int's Guitar Festival at Market Hall...My buddy Neal and his band Spearing Britney at Monkee's Pub & Grub in Sachse Sat night. They are a good time. MOnkee's is a cool joint too. I'll be out running around at Dallas Harley Davidson. They're at LBJ & Centerville Sat 11-1...then at Lone Star Park in G.P. 3-5. Come out and say HOWDY.....
Movin's a bitch...and rabbit ears still suck

but you knew that. I'm settled into the new place and stealing someone's internet to post this. Hey...I hit "search for network" and it worked! Cable's not hooked up yet, and the paper said Mavs were on Ch. 21 tonight. They weren't....and I couldn't get any other channels. There was some dumbss show on beach volleyball. GUYS VOLLEYBALL. I'll watch girls beach volleyball though. Mavs lost anyway. Stars are kickin ass and back at AAC Tuesday. I think they flew over me as I was getting my stuff outta storage about 2pm near Love Field. BTW....There's a broken wooden rocker with a blue cushion sittin outside my unit at Public Storage on Lemmon if you want it. Ohhh..Tuesday is a "BLACKOUT" day if you are goin to the Stars game. Doesn't have to be a black Stars shirt...just something black. I'm goin to bed. I'll see you on the radio.

Bio
I'm a born and raised Texan. I was born in Houston and grew up in Kilgore. I was raised on the Lone Star music. If I wasn't on the air, I really think I'd be a Texas history teacher. I worked a year or 2 in Victoria and loved being so close to Goliad, San Antonio, and the history of that part of the state. If you know what "COME AND TAKE IT" means or where Presidio La Bahia is, then you understand. I used to import Wolf Brand and brisket when I lived out of state. I almost fell down when I finally saw Blue Bell in the freezer at Wal Mart in N.C. A dear friend of mine came down to Texas a few times with me. It took her a little bit, but she finally got "it" about Texas and Texans. Her favorite saying is "YOU PEOPLE!!!!" I'll smile and say "Damn right". She now has me send her cans of Wolf Brand.
I love playin the classics and I also love turning folks on to new music and seeing them become passionate about it. I think Willie Nelson is the coolest son of a bitch walking the face of the earth today. I think James McMurtry is the best songwriter goin today. I think Billy Joe Shaver should be a househould name. I love how a song can transport you to another place in time. no matter if it's a good or not so good memory...a song can transport you back to that place in a second. I'm very proud to be on a station like Lone Star. Tune in and we'll make some of those GOOD memories.
